Paternoster is one of the West Coast's most charming destinations; a quaint fishing village where time seems to slow down and the salty breeze makes every moment feel like an escape. Known for its whitewashed cottages, pristine beaches, and vibrant local culture, Paternoster has a magic that draws you in. For years, we found ourselves coming back to this special place, and it quickly became a dream of ours to own a little piece of it. After many visits and much planning, we finally made it happen ... our very own house in Paternoster.
Buying our house, now called Aspersie, was a leap of faith and a dream long in the making. The excitement of the purchase quickly turned into a whirlwind of renovation plans and countless road trips to Paternoster to see it all come together. It was more than just choosing paint colors and tiling - it was about capturing the essence of what we love about this place. We wanted Aspersie to feel like a sanctuary, a place where anyone visiting could unwind, enjoy the charm of Paternoster, and create their own memories.
Renovating the house was a labor of love. We kept the cottage’s authentic charm but added touches to make it feel fresh and inviting, cozy enough for a winter escape, but breezy and light for those perfect summer days. Every corner tells a story, from the small details we handpicked to the bigger changes that made it truly feel like ours. Seeing the final transformation felt like a dream come true; it’s exactly the kind of place we’d love to stay at if we were visiting Paternoster.
Now, Aspersie is ready to welcome its first guests. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway, a base to explore the West Coast, or simply somewhere to slow down and enjoy good company, we hope Aspersie can be that special spot for you. It's been an amazing journey getting to this point, and we can't wait to share it with you. Visit our Book Now page to make your reservation today!
